NEW YORK—January 4: The Radio Advertising Bureau reported Thursday morning that combined spot and non-spot radio spending increased 3% in the month of November.
The Radio Advertising Bureau announced Thursday morning that combined spot and non-spot radio spending increased 3 percent in November. Total combined local and national spot revenue for November 2006 was also up 3 percent as national ad spending increased 16 percent while local spending fell 1 percent. November non-spot revenue rose 13 percent.
Through November, the radio industry's total combined spot and non-spot revenue remained flat, as was total combined local and national spot revenue. For the first eleven months of 2006, national ad spending was up 4 percent, while local spending was down 1 percent. Non-spot revenue grew 10 percent for the period.
As previously announced, the RAB will begin reporting quarterly radio revenue in dollar amounts beginning with the 2007 results. Monthly percentages will continue to be available on the RAB website at www.RAB.com.
