January 2004 Radio Revenues
Radio revenues for the first month of 2004 were flat for local, national, and the combined local and national total, when compared to January from a year ago.
“The revenue results for January indicate the beginning of a leveling out for Radio,” said Gary Fries, President and Chief Executive Officer, RAB.“As we move past First Quarter, Radio ad sales will move beyond the current stalled economy and experience growth as we progress through the year.”
These monthly totals are based on the RAB Radio Revenue Index of more than 150 markets.The accounting firm of Miller, Kaplan, Arase & Co. provides the local and national revenue data on the more than 150 markets RAB uses to calculate its Revenue Index.
