Director of Sales Planning
We are looking for an "experienced media executive" to lead a sales planning group at a leading Radio Network. Responsibilities include: managing utilization of weekly sponsorship inventory across 150 markets, overall yield management strategy and execution, working with sales force of over 100 sales reps to formulate and negotiate ad proposals for local, regional and national sponsorships, coordination with Traffic Department on entry and scheduling, as well as formulation of other policies, practices and strategies to support and drive ad sales.

Leads a team of planners that manages the utilization of over one hundred thousand units of weekly sponsorship inventory across 150 markets. Manages a team of Sales Planners, monitors and prioritizes their workloads and distributes work accordingly.
Is the lead contact for a national sales force, and works directly with each account manager to build sales proposals
Sets pricing and determines sponsorship allocation for all sales packages
Negotiates with National Account Managers and Regional Vice Presidents during the proposal stage of an order to ensure that sponsorship inventory gets sold efficiently and profitably
Confirms that all orders are sent to planning in accordance with their approval, and signs off on the order. Makes sure all orders are correctly drafted in accordance with our scheduling system, and that proper advertiser/agency authorization in provided. Makes sure all orders are scanned to the Traffic Department for entry and scheduling
Works with account managers on modifications to existing orders
Approves make good schedules when under delivery occurs, in accordance with inventory availability
Communicates directly with the Traffic Department, to ensure that order entry and client schedules are consistent with the instructions on each contract
Supports the company President with statistical reporting that illustrates sell-out percents, pricing trends and sales pacing


Position Qualifications:

5+ years inventory management and yield management/pricing strategy experience
5+ years Radio and/or television experience
Strong managerial and interpersonal skills
Highly analytical
Experience managing multiple networks, stations and markets
Highly computer proficient
Strong multi-tasker
