Operations Director
The Operations Director oversees programming and engineering functions for all of our stations. This includes but is not limited to; direct supervision of all Program Directors, direct supervision of the Chief Engineer, designing and executing fantastic on-air products, the advertising and the promotions that will make our target audiences love us, and maintaining dynamic station websites. This must be done with a commitment to a fair and responsible balance of programming quality and revenue maximization.
Operations Director Job Responsibilities:
Maximize the talents of individual employees and inspire greatness from those employees
Coordination with Program Directors for all programming and marketing operations for all stations
Coordination with Chief Engineer for all engineering functions for all stations and facilities
Programming one of the radio stations in the cluster
On-going talent recruitment
Training and development with current employees
Effective communication with Market Manager and Group Vice President on programming, engineering and marketing operations
Effective communications with programming consultants and format coordinators regarding individual stations programming execution
Yearly budget planning for programming, engineering and marketing
Monthly budget management for programming, engineering and marketing
Other assigned projects for the Jacksonville cluster or the company
Operations Director Job Qualifications:
Must have very good people skills
Must have a good track record of leadership skills and responsibilities
Must be very familiar with Music Master and Maestro
Must have a strong working knowledge of Arbitron, Maximizer and Tapscan
Must have a strong working knowledge of the current FCC rules and regulations regarding over the air broadcasts
Operations Director Job Experience
Must have at least four years experience as a radio station Program Director or Operations Director
