Keynote Announced: Geraldo Rivera To Keynote Hispanic Radio Conference
Geraldo Rivera -- investigative journalist, author, and host of Fox News Channel's Geraldo at Large -- will deliver the May 19 keynote address at Radio Ink's Hispanic Radio Conference. Rivera is an award-winning journalist and the author of seven books, including the recently released His Panic: Why Americans Fear Hispanics In the U.S., which examines the growth of the Hispanic population in the U.S. Rivera has been known as a hard-hitting investigative reporter since the earliest days of his career, and he's also an experienced foreign correspondent who's reported from Afghanistan, Lebanon, Kosovo, Chile, and Columbia, among many other countries. At home, he's been on the front lines of such high-profile stories as the O.J. Simpson trial, the Michael Jackson trial, and the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Don't miss Rivera's keynote address, at 3:30 p.m. on May 19.

Radio Ink Hispanic Radio Awards: Medallas de Cortez Finalists Named 
Radio Ink has released the list of finalists who will compete for the second annual Medallas de Cortez, which recognize outstanding achievement in Hispanic radio. Winners will be announced at the second annual Radio Ink Hispanic Radio Conference, May 19-20 in Miami. The Medallas de Cortez are named in honor of Raoul Cortez, who in 1946 founded KCOR/San Antonio, the United States' first Spanish-language radio station. As previously announced, founder and Director Emeritus of Spanish Broadcasting System Raul Alarcon Sr. will receive the Medallas de Cortez Lifetime Achievement Award.
