Radio Disney Focuses On Unsigned Artists
BURBANK, CA -- October 2, 2008: On Saturday, October 4, Radio Disney will launch a new feature that will let young unsigned artists be heard on the network and have their songs voted on by listeners.
Next Big Thing will feature new artists every two weeks over 22 weeks, with the winner announced March 30, 2009. Pictures, two full songs, and interviews with the participating artists will be featured at RadioDisney.com and the NBT mobile website. Listeners can vote online at the website, or by texting "NBT" to Disney at 347639.
Radio Disney SVP/GM Michael Riley said, "We're giving kids and families a chance to hear talented new singers and songwriters and to share their opinion on the music, and we're providing budding young artists with wide exposure on our powerful broadcast and online media platforms."
