Entercom Sites Add SplashCast Video

November 12, 2008: Entercom's 70 music websites will soon be offering local video content by way of SplashCast's technology. The Portland-based tech company offers an interactive video player that's rolling out on now on Entercom sites, starting with Rhythmic WNVZ/Norfolk's

Entercom will be offering local video content, including event and concert coverage, interviews, music, and news. New advertising opportunities go along with the new player. Additionally, listeners can contribute content via the SplashCast micro-channels, and the players can be embedded in listeners' own websites or social-networking profiles.

"Our stations create exciting, engaging, and locally relevant content for millions of weekly listeners and online visitors," said Entercom SVP/Digital Sandy Smallens. "SplashCast's sophisticated technology provides a distribution platform for us to deliver this content everywhere, while also tapping in to the groundswell in popularity of social networks."
