Yahoo CFO To Exit
February 26, 2009: With a change of CEO often comes an overhaul of the executive ranks, and Yahoo -- with new CEO Carol Bartz in place -- reports in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing that CFO Blake Jorgensen will be leaving the company.
Yahoo said it has initiated a search for a new CFO and that Jorgensen will stay with the company through a transition period.
Bartz has also announced that the Web giant is adding a new customer-advocacy group to be more responsive to users, and Reuters reports on an internal memo from Bartz saying that Elisa Steele will be coming in next month as Chief Marketing Officer, arriving from the SVP/Corporate Marketing post at NetApp. Additionally, the tech and products groups have been combined under EVP/CTO Ari Balogh, and Connected Life team leader Marco Boerries has exited.
