Adelante Launches New Latino Format

2-14-2013

Responding to the growth in the number of bicultural, bilingual Latinos across America, Adelante Media Group announced that it has re-tooled its Spanish/CHR Latino Network to serve those radio listeners. The NEW LATINO radio format is a fusion of Latin American and American music, culture, language and lifestyle, and is designed to connect with today’s changing Hispanic audience.

The NEW LATINO is a popular-based music mix of the best Spanish and English hits, from artists including Wisin Y Yandel, Prince Royce, Shakira, Aventura and Pitbull, which currently dominate Spanish radio. Now these artists are joined by Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Ke$ha, Swedish House Mafia and others.

Director of Programming for Adelante Media Group Juan Gonzalez said: “Entertaining and talking to Latinos in THEIR language with our NEW LATINO brand - be it Spanish or English - is the way to reach the growing Latino population. The NEW LATINO listener is digitally savvy, bilingual and lives daily in both cultures. They are engaged with our digital assets and social media platforms and enjoy all of today’s hits without regard to the language of the lyrics. We give all that to them while remaining true to our culture and heritage, just as our listeners live their lives.”
