WVON Host Charged With $10 Million Mortgage Fraud

Warren Ballentine has been indicted for allegedly defrauding lenders to obtain nearly 30 bogus mortgage loans from 2004-2006. According to the U.S. Attorney's office in Chicago Ballentine helped obtain the mortgages in which buyers were fraudulently qualified for loans based on false documents. On the WVON website, Ballentine is listed as "The People's Attorney." His show airs from 3AM-6AM. Ballentine's Facebook page says he's "INNOCENT." He's scheduled to appear in court on February 5th.
