Veteran programmer Jack Silver has been picked by Dial Global and NBC Sports Group as the new program director for NBC Sports Radio Network. Silver most recently programmed KABC and KLOS in Los Angeles and was earlier VP/PD of CBS Radio's KLSX/L.A. Silver has also consulted a number of sports radio hosts, anchors, and shows
"It's a pleasure to announce that Jack will be joining our NBC Sports Radio team," said NBC Sports Radio Network EVP/GM Chris Corcoran. "Everyone in radio is familiar with his success in programming and his many accomplishments in the industry. We’re looking forward to bringing his talents to Culver City."
Silver says, "I have a world of experience in programming to the daily consumer of sports radio. This is an exciting launch for the sports radio consumer, and we'll add PPM winning strategies and best practices to ensure a huge success."
As previously reported, Dial Global is teaming with NBC Sports Group to create the new NBC Sports Radio Network. Due to launch in September, the network will be distributed to stations nationwide by Dial Global. Programming will include full-length shows, daily features, and hourly sports news features.
