The stars in heaven will shine a little brighter with one of the most wonderful men I ever had the pleasure to know.
Ron you will be missed but not forgotten.

We've all heard the phrase: "He is one of the good guys in radio" In Ron Ruth's case,he was THE good guy in radio. Ron's low key and sincere style made everyone he came in contact with love him. If he was going to have a funeral service, it would have to be held at Giants Stadium. We all miss you Ron....

I met Ron T my first RAB conference in Dallas around 1990.I was wondering arrount the hotel, lost and confused. This guy just stopped and asked if I was ok. Ron and I became friends from then on.We set up the Radio Ryder Cup for golf between The Irish radio industry and the US.We played it many times both in Ireland and the US,always having fun and good fellowship. It should be revived and named after Ron.I still have the Tipperary Crystal trophy that I put up at the start.Ar yes dei go Reibh Ron.

34 years ago, a salesman from Transtar called on me when I was a GM in Orlando…he spoke of this new programming concept that came from a satellite…although I thought he was crazy at the time, we have been friends ever since. I will miss Ron Ruth dearly.

I will sorely miss Ron. He was a true gentleman and one of the greatest guys I ever met during my 40 year radio career.
