Most of its been said..Ron Ruth was one of our industries treasures! My greatest memory of Ron was our Golf trips to Ireland organized by Ron and our Irish friend, Aiden O'Dorety.....by now he should be on the back nine lifing a brew and telling another great joke......we will miss you, Ron.......Dex....

No one is irreplaceable, but as an icon of the radio industry Ron Ruth defines that appellation! Ron was an indefatigable champion of radio and his prodigious assemblage of friends. Central to Ron's demeanor were the words " Yes I can," and Yes I will," With his ever present energy , Ron was everywhere , dispensing immense goodwill about radio and his colleagues. I do not know of anyone who believed more passionately that radio is a personal enterprise. He lived by that creed.

There he was in the lobby at every convention with an ear-to-ear(sorta nasty)smile and a great new joke. Every time you walked away from Ron you walked away with a big smile on your face - and make your day a bit lighter. He left us better than he found us and possessed the greatest treasure - lots and lots of good friends. Gonna miss him.

I first knew Ron in NYC in '71. He was a great competitor and became a great friend. He was absolutely one of the greatest radio guys and will be missed by all who knew him

God bless you, Ron Ruth!

During my 50 wonderful years in broadcasting, I was blessed with many
friends and associates, but my final seven years in active radio work was alongside Ron at the RAB. Although we had competed in the Miami market in the 70s, I never knew how talented and
exceptional Ron Ruth was. His name, like his departed RAB partner Wayne Cornils, is one this old radio guy will
always respect and will never forget!
