Ray, your posting is rife with grammatical trainwrecks, so what's a typo among friends?
Typically, you're attacking the messenger, not the message. Hence, my observation that this isn't the proper place to debate gun control.
Try hard to focus without going off into ancillary issues like my spelling.
Without diminishing the importance and necessity of Americans having this gun debate, I think I can say that the underlying issue here is one in which corporate radio determines that engaging in any contentious debate could be bad for business.
As such, the debate is not encouraged to be joined by on-air personalities. Not at the local level, to be sure.
The preamble of the constition begins with the words "We the people"...meaning the people not the elected elite. Remember there are ways to ammend the document that resulted in freedom for slaves and the right to vote for women among other good things...that were not listed in the constitituon that so many gun nuts are clinging to...
Dear Sundance, the word is "your", not you're...but I wouldn't expect you to know that, as evidenced by your advanced stupidity.
Typically, you missed the point. This isn't the proper place to debate gun legislation. Rather, this is a story about a radio personality's response to the gun control debate.
Furthermore, you're entire premise is skewed - this is a Constitutional issue not subject to popular polling. If it were, we probably be living in a theocracy since 1954 whey they subverted the Pledge of Allegiance with the words "under God".
It is about time we all stood up and spoke out. Polls show a vast majority of us are for gun control. If we allow a minority of people to bully us, we will continue down the road of 30,000 + gun victims every year. This is a civilized nation, not some hellhole like the middle east. Let's all use this situation to come clean and bare our consciences. Chances are, btw, conservative controlled Clear Channel will just can him. Hmmm.
