Yes, Sorry to see that Donny had to step down. A few radio stations had told me they had to "let Donny go" I am NOT saying what radio stations that was. Apparently? Donny got alot of bad reviews and comments.

And there is ANOTHER "behind closed doors" why he had to step down. This is concerning about family (Personal).

Valid comment, John. The thing is: What many of us are pushing for are personalities with some meat on their communicative bones who can work local markets at their local stations - all over the country.

Donny should have gotten some better writers - in my opinion, his show wasn't all that bad - in fact I found Donny's show much less annoying than John Tesh's. He should hook-up with Casey Kasem and do a reto-show route - if he has time outside of his Vegas committments. His show was one of only 3 terrestrial radio shows I listened to that isn't on Satellite or the Web.

The guy is a professional performer who doesn't need me to give him that. He's got work.
Trashing that innocuous, patronizing, juvenile approach that was scripted for him and that he was obliged to read only leaves the stations' slots open for another form of milquetoast blather.
Shame on the stations that carried the show - the same ones that will accept some other maudlin replacement.
