To Fred C. :

Apparently the ONLY idiot here is you, because obviously you don't work with him nor have ever worked with him, so you do NOT have a clue of what you're talking about
.. Why don't you contact Ridzak and find out for yourself; better yet, tell us where you work so we know how successful you are... My advice to you: Shut up!

How many of you idiots talking smack about this guy are successful in the radio business? Sounds like a bunch of jealous whiners who got their asses fired!

Of course Clear Channel today is dumping hundreds and hundreds of talent. A tidal wave of lost radio jobs. But wheres Radio Ink. Counting their money from their Harvard Club festivities where they lauded Bob Pittman...incredible and SAD! Cmon Ed and Eric cover the damn news stop spinning stories for the leadership which is in ruins.

It is in tough times like the current ones that truly make it possible to see, WITHOUT A DOUBT, who is really a "DOER" and who is the "TALKER". For Bill to say Scott has been in the same building for 20 years, that doesn't say anything nor impress me, except to say that no one has been willing to take a chance in givung him the GM title, and I don't blame them. I see that he might be a friend of yours, but in these challenging economic times there is no room for "buddies", except " RESULTS"!

I remember years ago in a sales meeting when the GM said: "Radiio is such an incredible business that you can still make $$$ even if you're not good at it... " I totally agree, and a perfect example is Scott Welch, who has made a very good living and riding along under the wings and protection of Ridzak, but this is NOT the 80's or 90's, it's 2012, and the only way to really make $$ nowadays is to be good at what you do, which is generating sales for your advertisers.

Bill Zimmerman:

I've known and worked with both, Bob Ridzak and. Scott Welsh. All of the cooments, EXCEPT yours, are true, as I can easily attest to that. Bob is a true sales person and very knowledgeable. but with a short temper, whereas Scott is not a salesperson, nor a manager or leader. I've never seen someone with his title and NOT get respect from his sales team. He's a lot of bs and he's always checking you out if you have a low cut or short dress. So, be my guest and hire Scott W.l
