Right on, Charlie!
Charlie makes excellent points - certainly. Were the industry to address those, there would indeed be an improvement.
Meanwhile, and Charlie may or may not agree - the biggest ephelunk in the room is the fact that, as an industry, we have decapitated the talent it takes to generate greater audience.
Most importantly, we have sacrificed the talent to generate strong ad campaigns that are designed with radio's strengths in mind.
Playing second or third fiddle to print, television or online while using the copy and approaches of those other media only weakens our own influence.
