You are absolutely right. Traditional cut and dried co-ops are disappearing. But knocking on supplier's doors to dip into other budgets like sales promotion or even customer-relations budgets is paying off handsomely for stations we consult.
We've had suppliers pay as much as 100% of a campaign, just to be the exclusive sponsor and edge out their competitors.

Great article! The general consensus is that co-ops are fading away slowly but surely. With this uptick in the economy, hopefully we'll see co-ops come back!
