Prostitutes set their their own prices and get paid in advance. Maybe #2 will be willing to set an example for the industry by selling Radio on a cash-in-advance basis?

A few years ago, I offered to give a copy of our rate cards to a competitor and his comment was "a rate card....what a quaint idea." "Everyone" isn't negotiating and cutting rates. We're not interested in joining the race to the bottom. A thing is not worth what is asked - nor what is offered...but is worth what is paid for it. We actually follow the 4 Way Test from Rotary International in our business and it works!

Is the second biggest person in the kitchen the best chef? In one sense Dickey is right, radio listening is like going to a restaurant. However, no one eats pizza every night. If you own all the restaurants in town you can control price somewhat.Eventually a competitor will enter the market. Price always is a major factor.Learn to use the nature of the situation to your advantage, your not going to change the habits of the buyers.Maybe radio stations should build drive-thru windows.
