Not in favor of execs who interfere with my listening choices. If I wanted Mike Huckabee and not Mark Davis, I would watch tv and turn off the radio. I wonder if the Dickey's can figure that one out? BTW, I am a female listener. One of the ones Dickey wants to cultivate.

Then why did the Dickey's rush to put Limbaugh on the FM dial as soon as they closed with Citidel in DC? I don't like Rush myself, but this move shows the Dickey boys are running scared.

The appetite for conservative radio is far from waiting. We want Mark Davis back on WBAP now! If Mr Dickey thinks he is going to spoon feed us a more moderate message, I assure you...we will go elsewhere. If this becomes a permanent change than we will encourage the advertisers to follow the talent and leave Cumulus immediatly,

Remember ladies and gents…John Dickey knows what we are all supposed to know. He is the grand communication master of the universe. between him his brother and that lard Pinch these fools are supposed to have us brain washed. i agree w Del Coliano…Huckabee is a big bore. Its not about talent its about saving money. Do you really think the Cumulus idiots care about what sounds good. They are a bunch of money grubbers.

Limbaugh is an institution and has outlived every other mainstream talker on the airwaves. Don't screw with tradition.
But, you come along and say: "I think people are fatigued" with talk radio. What statistical evidence do you have to support that?
What IS fagiguing is the Shaun Hannity who day after day, hour after hour says the same thing...you can set your watch by it and his comments. Never mind he and Greta and O'Reilly are so absolutely rude as to cut off any guests comments one wonders why they 1) have anyone come on their show and/or 2) that some guest hasn't already told any one of them to "shut up and let ME finish."
So, now you come along and toss off a talker with brains and charisma and popularity like Mard Davis on WBAP in the DFW market...the same Mark Davis who is thought enough of to be a substitute for Limbaugh...the same Mark Davis who has more common sense and overall general knowledge and finger-on-the-pulse of local, national and world issues.
My guess is your excuse is a lame one and you don't have the cajones to just come out and say Mark Davis wanted too much compensation.
Tell you what - Put Davis on during the drive Hannity is on and keep a good thing going.
Now if you really want to clean up some garbage on your DFW station at WBAP, toss that morning bunch of giggling, wheezing bunch of morons who can't go seven minutes without some of the worst commercials known in broadcasting and give us a decent top and bottom of the hour news cast. Oh, and stop the stupid commercials linked to traffic reports that are longer than the traffic report.

Huckabee's has been a great Paul Harvey replacement but will not succeed as a Rush competitor. If TSL is down, it's because ardent listener's have/are moved/moving to the live streaming and video subscription products (or podcasts.) For a Rush subscriber, that means no local commercials (or news segments) and fantastically accurate, funny parodies that rotate in their place. Huckabee has a better chance to replace Rubio than Rush.
