BOTTOM LINE: Successful PDs find out what the top rated stations in their respective genre are doing and copy them.
Specifically, they go to Mediabase and pull down the respective winners' playlists and make it their own.
They listen to the top rated stations across the country, thanks to technology via the internet and claim the contest give-aways, promotions, chatter, etc., as their own.
These newly successful PDs then patiently watch as their Arbitron Numbers rise and then collect BIG FAT CHECKS from their respective employers.
