Swinton boss di canio said, "those fans for all we do is really not general, but this show all emotions. They hope to see game and we need to win the game. In fact, our victory is to them."

Althougth powerful women in their field run the risk of being stereotyped negatively, Laurie repeatedly disproves any misconceptions with her kindness, humor, and talent. Your interview is excellent and demonstrates that her exciting career will successfully continue. Congratulations Laurie!!!

Ed,
Yes, we're all aware of what is happening with the change in cultures from ABC/Citadel to Cumulus but you are doing a disservice to your readers when you have an interview with someone of this stature and you don't let them tell the industry what is really going on "in her words!"

And does it really matter if I programmed in NYC? WTF is that about?

Laurie Cantillo gave me my big break by letting me sub for Joe Crummey before Labor Day Weekend. Everyone always asks- Is she really as sweet as she seems? Apparently, yes. Good luck in your travels Laurie- where you go, good radio goes with you.

I have worked at upwards of six stations in the New York Tri State area during my radio career...Two of them New York City Stations and two of them the most legendary in the country, in Music and News/Talk. I have worked with the best in the business and continue to. Never have I learned so much from anyone in the business as Laurie Cantillo. She is not only the most brilliant programmer I have ever known, she is truly the fairest and most caring human being I have ever met. People like Laurie don't come along every day. Lucky the next group or gig that lands her...Laurie, your legacy and indelible mark of creativity, brains, humor and kindness will forever linger...thank you for being a mentor, teacher and friend to so many!

For those of you who choose to post, without leaving your name, and whine and cry about the negative...only a fool, not paying attention, doesn't know the answer to what's going on. It's a question that hardly needs to be asked. Besides, we choose to look at the positives about the people in radio and the accomplishments they have achieved.

Have you ever programmed a station in market #1. We might know the answer if you posted your name. Feel free to e-mail me with your story. edryan@radioink.com.
