(10/12/2001) Jay Meyers Says Mick Anselmo Is Clear Channel's New Guy In Minneapolis. Anselmo Has Spent Nearly A Lifetime At KEEY-FM.
Clear Channel Radio Plains/Northwest Senior Vice President Jay Meyers added Minneapolis cluster Vice President & Market Manager Mick Anselmo to his Regional Vice President (RVP) group. The 15 plus-year radio veteran has spent almost his entire career associated with Minneapolis’ legendary country KEEY-FM, coming up through the sales ranks and landing the Market Manager position a few years ago. As RVP, Anselmo will oversee 10 markets in the Minneapolis trading area, stretching across North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota.

Said Meyers, "I'm excited to have someone of Mick's caliber assume the important regional responsibilities from our Minneapolis hub. It was clear immediately that Mick is at the top of the learning curve on our vision of being able to regionally solve advertisers’ needs. Above all else, Mick actually knows where Minot, Dickinson, Aberdeen and New Ulm are, and has promised to take me there soon. I promised him that it wouldn't be in January!"

Anselmo, a life long resident of Minnesota, added, “Combining the regional radio markets with Minneapolis makes Clear Channel the unparalleled choice for advertisers seeking to brand their presence in our trading region. We have some great innovations and spectacular ideas that we'll be unveiling soon. I'm blessed with one of the best station staffs in this business, and I'm excited about sharing their talents with my other markets. And I love working with Jay Meyers, whom I plan to toughen up quickly. I'll get him here in January. Couple of trips to Fargo, Bismarck and Grand Forks, some tire studs for his boots, and he'll be "okie-dokie"-ing right along with the rest of us."
