(8/28/2001) KFBK Sacramento Offers Gary Condit A Talk Show. Ops Manager Ken Kohl Delivers The Invitation Himself.
In what is most likely a publicity stunt by the station, KFBK offered Congressman Gary Condit his own talk show. KFBK Operations Manager Ken Kohl extended the invitation Monday. Condit has not been seeking much media attention lately.

KFBK’s two local talk hosts -- Tom Sullivan, on air 1-4 p.m., and Mark Williams, in the 7-10 p.m. time slot, are both due for summer vacations. Congressman Condit has been given the opportunity to fill in for either of them for as little as a day or for one full week.

“This is an opportunity to resuscitate his image and message. If Condit accepts the offer, he would have complete control over the content of the show. No host or interviewer would be present, and Condit’s staff would screen listener calls,” said Kohl. “This is a real opportunity to talk with constituents and the people of Northern California in his own way and in his own voice.”
