(1/19/2001) Big City Radio Announces Major Hispanic Radio Network Affiliation Contract.
Big City Radio has been appointed to exclusively represent the 67 radio station affiliates of Hispanic Radio Network (HRN). The majority of these stations are owned and operated by Hispanic Broadcasting Corp. This agreement, which takes effect Jan. 22, 2001, will allow Big City Radio to deliver HRN's radio station affiliates to national advertisers.

"This announcement is strategically very important for us," stated Charles Fernandez, president and CEO of Big City Radio Inc. "Access to the top 50 Hispanic radio markets increases the attractiveness of our existing print, radio and Internet properties to national advertisers wishing to reach the Hispanic consumer," he added.

Big City Radio Inc. owns radio broadcast properties in or adjacent to major metropolitan markets and utilizes innovative engineering techniques and low-cost, ratings-driven operating strategies to develop these properties into successful metropolitan radio stations. Big City Radio currently owns and operates radio stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Phoenix, four of the largest radio markets in the United States. It also owns the Spanish Language print and Internet properties: Disco Magazine, TodoAhora.com, and LatinMusicTrends.com.
