Boyce Exits Citadel & WABC

NEW YORK -- October 9, 2008: Phil Boyce is leaving his posts as WABC/New York PD and Citadel Communications VP of News/Talk Programming. He's been at WABC for 14 years -- overseeing the launch into syndication of such personalities as Sean Hannity and Mark Levin -- and took his VP post in 2005, keeping the title after Citadel bought the ABC Radio stations.

Boyce said in a statement, "I've had a fabulous run programming WABC, and these past 14 years have absolutely flown by. I can't think of a better job in radio, and I wish everyone at WABC and Citadel nothing but the best. I believe I have some great opportunities in front of me."

Citadel Major Market Radio Station Group President Mitch Dolan said, "Phil's abilities as a programmer are well known, but it's his kindness and leadership that we'll miss most."
