WASHINGTON -- August 15, 2008: As of September 1, Red Zebra's Sports WXTR/Washington will be an affiliate of ESPN Deportes Radio and Spanish-language home to the Washington Redskins. The Redskins are owned by Daniel Snyder, who is a lead investor in Red Zebra.
Red Zebra CEO Bruce Gilbert said, "Bringing all sports in all-Spanish to DC with ESPN Deportes was a big goal, but it was even more important for us to offer Washington Redskins football in Spanish."
"We are very excited to reach sports fans in Washington," said ESPN Deportes Radio Sr. Director/GM Oscar Ramos. "This is yet another step toward our goal of reaching emerging Hispanic audiences and offering them original, high-quality sports content unlike any other."
