RAB: Radio Revenues Dip 2 Percent In February
NEW YORK -- March 18, 2008: Radio revenues were off 2 percent in February, the RAB reports, with local revenues off 4 percent and national down by 1 percent compared to February 2007. Local and national combined for a decline of 4 percent for the month.
That's a much smaller dip for national than has been seen in recent months -- in January, national fell by 13 percent, following declines of 12 percent in December and 15 percent in November.
It was another strong month for nonspot revenue, up by 17 percent in February after gains of 11 percent in January, 12 percent in December, and 14 percent in November.
The RAB local and national figures are based on a pool of approximately 100 markets as reported by Miller, Kaplan, Arase & Co.
