KMJQ Tops Houston In January; WBEB Keeps Lead In Philly
NEW YORK -- February 27, 2008: Radio One Urban AC KMJQ-FM takes the top slot in the Arbitron Portable People Meter ratings for January with an AQH share of 6.6, even with its ratings for the "holiday" ratings period and up from a 6.1 in December. Clear Channel AC KODA, which keeps the number one cume spot with 1.7 million, drops to third in AQH with a 5.5 share.
In second place is Radio One Rhythmic KBXX, with a 6.1, bumping back up to its December figure after a holiday-period dip to 5.7. Ninth-place Contemporary Christian noncomm KSBJ also sees gains, moving 3.0-3.4-4.2 from December-January.

Leading the way in Philadelphia is again AC WBEB, with AQH share of 9.1, dropping off from 15.8 in December and 17.1 in the holiday ratings period as the station ended its run of all-holiday programming. WBEB is also the cume leader for January, with 1.8 million.
News KYW-AM is in second place, with an 8.1 AQH share, showing a nice bump from December's 6.9, and Classic Hits WOGL is up a half-share from December, coming in third with a 6.0.
