NEW YORK -- December 4, 2007: Radio ad revenue fell 2 percent in October, the RAB reports, with local revenue down 2 percent compared to October 2006 while national fell by 7 percent. Local and national revenue combined dipped 3 percent.
October's decline in overall revenue follows a striking 7 percent dip in September and a 1 percent decline in August. But nonspot revenue was a bright spot again in October, up by 9 percent, following gains of 9 percent in September and 11 percent in August.
RAB revenue figures are based on approximately 150 markets as reported by Miller Kaplan Arase & Co.
