Arbitron Releases Spring '07 Satellite Report

COLUMBIA, MD -- October 23, 2007: Arbitron has released spring 2007 ratings estimates for XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio, breaking out cume and AQH channel by channel for the satcasters. The numbers are 12+, Monday-Sunday, 6 a.m.-midnight, and are based on XM and Sirius listening recorded in in-tab diaries for the spring 2007 Arbitron survey.
XM led significantly in overall cume for the survey, with 10.3 million compared to 6.6 million at Sirius.
Howard Stern's Howard Stern 100 channel is tops on Sirius in the spring, with cume of 1.2 million and an AQH of 96,700. XM also has a million-cuming channel: the Top 40-formatted Top 20 on 20, with 1.1 million in cume and a 21,800 AQH.
In second place at Sirius is Top 40 Sirius Hits 1, cuming 653,200 (AQH 17,700), followed by Howard Stern 101, with cume of 502,000 (30,700), and New Country, with 455,900 (20,400). Completing the top five is Big '80s, with a cume of 405,000 (12,300).
Following Top 20 on 20 on XM is second-place Hot AC Flight 26, with cume of 713,700 and an AQH of 25,100 AQH. Rounding out the top five are some decade-themed channels: '70s on 7, in third, with 654,100 (18,000 AQH), then '80s on 8, with cume of 648,900 (15,500), and 60s on 6, cuming 619,600 (21,700).
