RAB: Radio Revenues Dip 1 Percent In August
NEW YORK -- October 10, 2007: Radio revenue fell again in August, by 1 percent, following dips of 1 percent in July and 3 percent in June.

National revenue led the decline, falling 5 percent compared to a year ago, while local revenue was off 1 percent. Combined local and national revenue fell by 2 percent.

Nonspot revenue continues to be a bright spot, however, rising 11 percent in August on the heels of 6 percent growth in July and a 14 percent gain in June.

The RAB's reports of local and national radio revenues are based on a pool of 150-plus markets as reported by Miller, Kaplan, Arase & Co.
