COLUMBIA, MD -- September 26, 2007: HD Radio hits another landmark as Clear Channel Rocker WROV Roanoke, VA, has become the 1,500th U.S. radio station to get an HD signal on the air.

"We are very pleased to be a part of the future of HD Radio technology and at the forefront in Roanoke," said CC/Roanoke-Lynchburg VP/Market Manager David Carwild. "HD Radio sound clarity and the ability to offer our listeners new music choices will certainly help propel the radio industry into the future."

"In just under a year, an additional 500 stations have upgraded to digital HD Radio broadcasting," said iBiquity President/CEO Robert Struble. "That's more than one a day." Struble credited the commitment by broadcasters, hardware manufacturers, and retailers for the rapid growth.
