Journal Broadcast Group Reorganizes TV & Radio Assignments
The Journal Broadcast Group has changed assignments for several executives in the company. The changes include:
Steve Wexler moves from Omaha to Milwaukee and to WTMJ-TV. Rob Burton takes over as market manager in Omaha for Wexler. And Eric McCart is the new vice president and general manager of Journal’s Wichita radio operations.
The announcements were made by Doug Kiel, vice chairman and CEO of the Journal Broadcast Group, who said, “We have a strong and deep management group at Journal Broadcast Group and these new assignments for several of our leaders will help us best leverage their abilities in the future. Our expectations for our Milwaukee, Omaha and Wichita markets are very high and these executives are just the right people to meet and exceed them.”
Wexler continues as executive vice president of television and radio operations for Journal Broadcast Group.
Burton is named vice president and market manager of Journal’s Omaha television and radio operations.
And McCart, who takes over as vice president and general manager of Wichita radio operations, replaces Burton.
Additionally, Mark Strachota is leaving WTMJ-TV to pursue other opportunities.
