Air America Rep: No Bankruptcy A representative for Air America Radio confirmed late Friday afternoon to Radio Ink that Air America Radio will not be declaring bankruptcy and explained that the layoffs at the network had to do with the move of Air America from former flagship WLIB to WWRL in New York.
Air America spokesperson Jamie Horn told Radio Ink that the layoffs happened because under the new arrangement, WWRL controls local sales revenues while at WLIB it was Air America that was in control of the local sales.
Horn also assured Radio Ink that Air America Talk star and former “SNL” cast member Al Franken will be getting paid. As you read here, Franken commented this week during his Air America program that recently he hasn’t been receiving a paycheck from the progressive network.
