Brown To Receive BCFM's Lifetime Achievement Award

Clarke R. Brown, Jr., retired president of Jefferson-Pilot’s Radio Division, will receive Broadcast Cable Financial Management Association’s 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award at the Association’s 46th Annual Conference.

Networked for Knowledge, the 2006 Annual Conference for the Broadcast Cable Financial Management Association and its Broadcast Cable Credit Association subsidiary, will be held June 11-13 at the Buena Vista Palace in Orlando, Florida.

“While it’s true that Clarke Brown started out as an advertising account executive, and worked with Hugh Wilson, creator and executive producer for the sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati, his incredible career in the industry wouldn’t have provided much inspiration for the show’s
bumbling advertising executive Herb Tarlek,” assured BCFM’s President and CEO Mary M. Collins in announcing Brown’s selection for the award. “Mr. Brown’s industry career is remarkable; we are very pleased to both recognize him for his achievements and to provide this opportunity for our 2006 Conference attendees to be inspired by his example.”
