I-Man Re-Ups In Beantown

Greater Media/Boston has announced it has renewed a three-year deal to carry Westwood One’s Imus in the Morning on 96.9 FM Talk (WTKK) in Boston. The agreement will run through May 2009. has been on the air on 96.9 FM Talk since 1999.

“We are fortunate to have Imus on Boston radio and WTKK as his home. He has made a great contribution to the Boston community and I am honored to work with him,” said Greater Media President and CEO Peter Smyth.

“Imus in the Morning has become an institution here in Boston. I'm very pleased that we will be working with Don and his entire crew for another three years," said Greater Media/Boston Vice President and General Manager Matt Mills.

“We’re thrilled. Imus in the Morning is the foundation on which 96.9FM has been built. There is no better talent and crew dealing with world, national and political issues all with a sense of humor that is smart and cutting edge,” said WTKK Program Director Paula O’Connor.

“We are excited to continue the great relationship between WTKK and Imus in the Morning," said Chris Greene, Westwood One SVP of Affiliate Sales and Operations.
