Original MTV Veejay Martha Quinn Joins Sirius Satellite Radio As On-Air Host

Original MTV Veejay Martha Quinn is set to join Sirius Satellite Radio as an on-air host. Quinn rejoins former colleagues Mark Goodman, Nina Blackwood, and Alan Hunter on Sirius’ Big '80s music channel.

Quinn's weekly show, Martha Quinn Presents...Gods of the Big '80s, will debut August 27 and will be heard on Sirius Saturdays at 11 AM ET. The show will also be repeated during the week.

Said Quinn, "I'm so excited to be joining Sirius. When I'm done surfing and chasing my kids around, I can go into the studio and get back to a time when 'M' stood for music."

Quinn, Goodman, Blackwood and Hunter—along with the late JJ Jackson—were the original faces and voices of MTV when it debuted on August 1, 1981.
