Lifetime Radio Welcomes Nelson

Jones Radio Networks has announced the addition of musician Gunnar Nelson to the morning show, Lifetime Radio. Nelson is teaming up with Donna Britt, the program’s host since its launch in April 2004. The show will maintain its focus on relationships and entertainment with Nelson adding a male perspective.

“We’re thrilled Gunnar is joining Lifetime Radio, where his background and expertise in the music industry, along with providing a unique male perspective, will add immeasurably to the program,” said Kimberly Bogosian, vice president, Brand Extensions, Lifetime Entertainment Services.

"Our listeners remember Gunnar for his music, but they are going to be delighted when they get to know him on the radio,” says Mike Bettelli, director of AC programming for JRN & PD for Lifetime Radio. “He's a very funny and engaging personality who is just as comfortable behind a radio microphone as he is on stage. Gunnar and Donna Britt are a great combination for AC radio."

Says Mike McVay, president, McVay Media, "I've been lucky enough to know Gunnar personally and as such I've witnessed his sense of humor, sense of showbiz and his ability to connect with an audience. I'm very impressed. He's a natural for radio."

Nelson is best known for teaming with his twin brother Matthew in the early ‘90s pop-metal band Nelson.
