Air America Radio President Gary Krantz has announced the appointment of the network’s first general manager. The progressive talk radio network has named Scott Elberg as VP/GM of WLIB New York. He will report directly to Krantz.
Elberg will be responsible for all local and national advertising revenue of WLIB and will oversee the WLIB management team. He will also contribute to all programming and marketing related issues pertaining to WLIB. Elberg comes to Air America from Univision Radio network where he served as vice president of Sales for the company since January 2003. Prior to working at Univision, Elberg was general manager for WKTU New York from 1999-2002.
"Scott is an "A player" in New York radio and is exactly what Air America Radio needs to take our flagship station, WLIB, to the next level," said Krantz. "I look forward to working with him and building a world class team that will push Air America Radio successfully forward into the future."
