Potter Joins RAB’s Radio Training Academy Former Cumulus Media-Toledo Market Manager John Potter has joined the RAB as Educational Projects Specialist for the Radio Training Academy in Dallas. As the Academy’s primary instructor, Potter will provide on-site training at the Dallas facility, as well as in markets across the country for the Academy’s Extension Program. RAB President/CEO Gary Fries said, “Through the Radio Training Academy and other educational programs, the RAB continues its commitment to providing training for the industry. We’re very pleased that our Academy can draw radio professionals of John’s caliber.” Executive VP/Services Mike Mahone commented, “We’re very excited to have John join our Academy team. John brings a wealth of experience that will further enhance the RAB’s efforts to elevate radio’s sales force.” Potter added, “I’ve been a long-time supporter of the RAB and am delighted to be working for an organization that I’ve respected for so many years. By helping to train radio salespeople, I have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to our industry.” Potter has been involved with radio-based Internet initiatives and has served on the RAB’s Sales Advisory Committee for two terms. The RAB Radio Training Academy is based in Dallas, and offers a variety of sales and management courses at beginner and advanced levels.
