Brooks Wins Legal Battle Against Summit
America's only country radio station airing 24 hours of Garth Brooks music has lost a legal fight from the singer for using his name and likeness without permission. Brooks' lawyers took action against Summit Media's GARTH-FM in Louisville, serving them a cease-and-desist order. The format change (or perhaps a stunt) began on WKRA during Memorial Day weekend, with the tagline, "Garth, the Whole Garth, and Nothing But the Garth."The station even used Brooks' face as their logo.
