Saga Grants Dead Woman's Christmas Wish

12-23-13

Here's another radio warm fuzzy delivered by Saga communications in Des Moines. KSTZ-FM granted Brenda Schmitz her Christmas Wish two years after she passed away. Brand Manager Scott Allen tells the Des Moines Register, Weve been doing the Christmas Wish program for 20-plus years. Weve never received a wish like this, ever. Schmitz died of ovarian cancer at age 46 and asked a friend to wait until Schmitzs husband found a new love to marry before delivering the letter. The station told David Schmitz they were granting a Christmas Wish for him but he didn't know about the letter until he was in the studio.

Schmitz asked the station to pamper Davids new partner. She also asked for a magical trip for her family and for a night out of fun for her cancer nurses and doctors. The station delivered on all of Schmitz' requests. Read more about this story HERE and HERE
