PA General Manager Raises $21K In The Shower

Bold Gold Media GM Michael Stanton's annual shower for charity raised over $21,000 for the Wayne County Children’s Christmas Bureau. The shower for charity dates back to 1992, when a much younger Stanton decided that no child should go without toys for Christmas. Stanton, along with his fellow radio brethren, came up with the wild idea to take a shower in the dead of winter, complete with bathtub and rubber duckies, in downtown Honesdale, PA. That year the community rallied around their local radio station and raised $1,290.

Stanton is now the General Manager of Bold Gold Media's stations in the Pocono Lake Region: 95.3 DNH (WDNH); Classic Hits 105.3 (WYCY); and Wayne-Pike News Radio 104.3-FM, 101.9-FM, and 1590-AM (WPSN). To date, the Michael G. Stanton Shower for Charity has raised over $150,000 for the Wayne County Children's Christmas Bureau.
