Big D And Bubba Get Baton Rouge Affiliate

Clear Channel removed the country music-focused morning duo from Charlotte and Baton Rouge just last week, replacing them with the Bobby Bones show. Big D and Bubba recently announced they were breaking ties with Premiere, which is owned by Clear Channel. Guarantee Broadcasting has announced it will pick up the show for WTGE (100.7 The Tiger) starting January 6. Chris Powers and Alabama Anna, of The Tiger Wakin Krewe, will remain with WTGE. Powers will move to afternoon drive and Anna will move to the middays.

The show aired with Guaranty

Broadcasting from December 1996 until February 1999 when the station was known as Cat Country 100.7. Were thrilled about the return of Big D and Bubba to our Country station 100.7 The Tiger, WTGE. Theyve been the number one country morning show in this market for over 15 years, said Gordy Rush, Vice President and Market Manager. Theyve always had a tremendous bond with our local community. Were proud to announce that they will continue to be a part of the South Louisiana community for years to come.

"Turn up the volume and let's have some fun," said Peter Kosann, CEO of Compass Media Networks. "We are very appreciative of the Guaranty Broadcasting teams support of Big D and Bubba and look forward to continuing to be a critical part of the local community."

Thank Goodness they are still going to be with us. I will not listen to the radio in the mornings without them!
