Edison Picks New Partner For Infinite Dial Study


It was a study Edison always presented with Arbitron, but with Arbitron out of the picture Edison has a new partner for its annual Infinite Dial study, Triton Digital. The next Infinite Dial study will be in March 2014. Edison Research President Larry Rosin said, “We’re hard at work making the 2014 version of ‘The Edison/Triton Infinite Dial’ the best ever. Edison has always sought to provide thought leadership and Triton Digital is the recognized leader in digital audio measurement with its MRC-accredited Webcast Metrics platform. Our two companies have come together to continue the tradition of the Infinite Dial and the tracking of consumer media trends in the digital economy."

Since 1998, the 21 Infinite Dial surveys have tracked Americans’ use of audio. The Infinite Dial has long been one of the most widely-cited and well-regarded studies on digital media usage, eagerly awaited each year and used by advertisers and content providers. Hundreds of start-ups, advertising agencies, established businesses, financial analysts, and academics all make extensive use of the study each year. As in previous years, the Infinite Dial will be made available in both a free online webinar and as a downloadable report complete with well over a decade’s worth of trended data on media usage. The exact date of the study’s premiere will be announced in early 2014.
