CNN en Español Still Going Strong
Stardome Radio Networks said yesterday that its partnership with CNN en Español is a thriving business. In a press release, Stardome said, "Despite the recently announced closure of the general market radio division for CNN, the Hispanic side of the business continues in an upswing growth trend becoming the most sought after Spanish language radio newscast service in the U.S. with the partnership between CNN en Español and Stardome Radio Networks expert team."
“When we started this endeavor nearly one year ago, CNN en Español had seven affiliates and dismal penetration in the marketplace. It has been great feeling of excitement to watch Stardome’s hard working team produce a great product in partnership with our friends in CNN en Español and gain so much momentum. We look forward to soon making some additional announcements that will further increase the footprint of the CNN en Español Radio news network, its products, and programming services for years to come,” said Anthony Hernandez, Managing Director and CEO of Stardome Radio Networks.
Stardome Radio Networks news affiliates currently reach 70% percent of today’s important U.S. Hispanic radio audience with a near 1.0 rating and over 160,000 Average Quarter Hour listeners and the company expects to exceed 90% coverage in the coming six months before the end of 2013 with the CNN en Español news product and other exciting announcements to come.
