Morning Show Back On In Sacramento

Entercom's 98 Rock (KRXQ-FM) returned The Rob, Arnie & Dawn show to the airwaves Tuesday. The show was suspended from the Entercom affiliate after being accused of insensitivity toward the victims of the Boston bombing. Rob, Arnie and Dawn say their comments were taken out of context and "they stand with Boston and everyone else seeking answers and justice." And they added an apology. "To the degree anything we have done or said, regardless of context, is or has been construed as insensitive or offensive to the victims of the Boston tragedy, we whole-heartedly and sincerely apologize."

Entercom originally issued a statement saying they did not know when the show would return, indicating it might be a longer period of time. The show is part of Williams Broadcasting and syndicated in several markets, including Sacramento. There is a post on the show's website that says what they said was taken out of context.

@ Robert - to finish my comments. Why don't you save your outrage for something important? I hear there isn't a position open for arbiter of taste.

You know obviously know nothing of Howard Stern's. Look up what he said about a plane crash when he was in DC. He’s made fun of slavery, mental illness and aides too. But then again, why should I be surprised you don’t know something? I’m also not condoning their comments. I didn’t even hear them. It doesn’t matter. Neither you or I should be the judge. The public will decide. We have a bad economy, soldiers at war in Afghanistan and in your world, yet you can only get worked up abou

Hey Bob MacKay...
While you're sitting there blaming Field and Entercom, are you aware that this show is syndicated, owned 100% by Willimas Broadcasting and is also carried by stations owned by Mapleton, Loytus, Results Radio, etc.? Where's your outrage at those companies?
