Bonneville Seattle Market Manager announced programming management changes Wednesday that include the promotion of Pete Gammell (pictured) to KIRO Program Director; Jason Antebi to KTTH Program Director & Executive Producer; and Brian Long to Senior Director of Programming. Gammell will be responsible for the day-to-day programming and news content on KIRO Radio.
During his nine years at KIRO Radio, Gammell has been involved in a variety of roles in the newsroom, including reporter, editor, producer, digital content director, and news director. Gardner said, "Pete instinctively understands KIRO Radio. He was born and raised in Tacoma, educated in Seattle, came up through the KIRO Radio newsroom and has been a leader in shaping KIRO's distinctive blend of news and conversation. More than anyone, Pete just gets the unique role this station plays in our community."
