Cancer Kills Radio Vet Alonso Warnell

Xavier Alonso "Al" Warnell was heard in Southwest Florida for over 30 years. In 1976 Warnell took a job with WINZ in Miami and for the next 30-plus years he worked as a reporter eventually joining WIOD when Clear Channel took over the station in the mid 90's. Warnell died of multiple myeloma while in Hospice in Indiana. He was only 62.
